Where:
Virtually through zoom. All participants will be emailed a link prior to the start date.
Objective:
In this class, you will learn the basic techniques needed to start your
knitting journey. We will work together on The Cotton Washcloth of Learning
which can be a useful finished project. Skills learned in this class include:
- Slip Knot
- Cast On
- Knit Stitch
- Purl Stitch
- 1x1 Rib
- Cast Off
- Optional I-cord
- 1 skein of Lana Gatto Milo (or at least a 50g skein of DK weight cotton yarn)
- US 6 (4mm) or US 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular needles, wooden preferred
- Darning needle
- Scissors

Project: The Cotton Washcloth of Learning
I designed this washcloth to allow a new knitter the opportunity to practice the
basic techniques of knitting. If there are any techniques that you feel you need
more practice with, you can just add more rows of that particular stitch until you
are comfortable.
