Ready to embark on your knitting journey or level up your skills? Our private lessons provide a supportive, one-on-one environment tailored exactly to your needs. Whether you are picking up needles for the first time or tackling a complex garment, we are here to help!

Meet Our Instructors

• Liz (they/them): Liz specializes in foundational skills. Whether you're casting on for the very first time or need patient guidance to master the basics, Liz provides personalized instruction at your pace.

  • Note: Liz teaches English style only (no Continental style available).

• Mariah (she/her): As the shop owner, Mariah brings a wealth of experience to the table. She is available for both absolute beginners and experienced knitters. If you have a complicated project, need help with advanced techniques, or want to learn specific styles, Mariah is the instructor for you!

  • Note: Mariah teaches English style only (no Continental style available), no colourwork/fair isle.

Booking Options

1. Private Knitting Lesson (Without Materials) Perfect if you already have your own needles and yarn! Bring your current project or supplies, and your instructor will guide you through your specific goals.

2. Private Knitting Lesson (With Materials) Ideal for total beginners! This option includes all the necessary materials to get you started (yarn and needles), so you can simply show up and start creating.

Bringing a Friend? (Additional Attendees)

The listed pricing is for one student. We love a shared learning experience!

• Additional Student: $17.50 per person.

• Additional Materials: $20.00 per person (if needed).

How to book for a group: Please book the initial lesson for one person as usual, then email us at info@goodgriefyarn.com. We will send you a separate invoice for the remaining balance for your additional guests.

Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours' notice for all cancellations. No exceptions. Lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice are eligible for store credit or exchange only. Please take this into consideration when booking your session.
